Waitangi Day Family Celebrations 2024

Together with Hastings District Council, Napier City Council, Central Hawke's Bay District Council, Hawke's Bay Regional Council and Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Inc, we invite you to join us at this free and family friendly event to celebrate family, community and nationhood..

Monday 5 February Reggae and Ribs 5pm to 8.30pm. Succulent pork ribs and tender brisket slices from our masters of the grill, live reggae music washed down with spicey drinks.

Tuesday 6 February. 9am to 3.30pm

Come and kōreo with Ngāti Kahungunu about the Treaty and learn about it's history in Hawke's Bay.

Performances.
A line up of the best regional performers this year on the main stage throughout the day starting at 9am to 3.30pm. 12pm. Waitangi Day Ceremony

Kai, Marketplace & Free Thrill Rides
Delicious kai from hangi to dumplings, hot dogs to fries. There's stalls with jewellery, hats, scarves, pareu and sunnies. Free Mahons Thrill Rides and bouncies.

Parking.
Unlimited free parking on site. Follow the directions of our parking attendants. They are there to help you.

Cash out with ATM cards available from Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Inc booth in front of the grandstand. No service charges..
