Come along with the kids and enjoy these water themed activities at Waiaroha Heretaunga Water Discovery Centre this January.
The activities will be kicking off from Monday 8 January and running until Friday 2 February.
Boat Race
Tuesdays from 11am-12pm
Build a boat with the materials provided, then race them down the Waiaroha stream!
Water Bomb Dodgeball
Fridays from 11am-12pm
Get creative and make a ‘water bomb’ out of the materials provided. Then test them out in a water fight.
Running all January
Scavenger Hunt
Visit Te Whare Waiaroha visitor centre for your scavenger hunt finder sheet. Complete the activities and hand your completed sheet to a staff member to go into the prize draw at the end of the month!
Photo Competition
Post a photo on your social channels taken at Waiaroha and tag us in using #waiarohawatercentre. Winner chosen at the end of the month.
‘Save water’ colour in activity
Come along to Te Whare Waiaroha visitor centre and colour in a ‘save water’ picture on the activity tables.
