Murder, greed, corruption, fame and all that jazz.
The razzle-dazzle of the Roaring Twenties comes alive at Toitoi, Hawke's Bay's premier arts venue, in a spectacular new staging of one of the world's most celebrated musicals.
Set against a world of Art Deco glamour, jazz-age excess and headline-making scandal, Chicago tells the story of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two rival vaudeville stars who will stop at nothing for fame, fortune and front-page attention.
Featuring a company of exceptional talent, dazzling choreography, stunning costumes, and the unforgettable score that includes All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango, Mister Cellophane and Razzle Dazzle, this is musical theatre on a grand scale.
Performed with a live band and presented in the magnificent surrounds of Toitoi's Opera House, Chicago promises a thrilling night of entertainment that captures all the sophistication, energy and decadence of the Jazz Age.
Sexy, sharp, hilarious and utterly irresistible, this iconic Broadway sensation remains one of the most electrifying musicals ever created.
It would be a crime to miss it.
